Search for missing person has been suspended, person is now safe.

On Saturday evening around 4:15 pm, the Litchfield Police and Fire Department responded to area of Griffin Memorial School for a person missing and in distress.

With the assistance of Merrimack, Londonderry and NH State Police; a search was conducted in the wooded area behind and around Griffin Memorial School. There was no danger to the public at any time.

As of 10:00 pm, the search effort has been suspended; as the subject is now in a safe location.

Winter Parking Ban

Winter Parking Ban starting November 15 to April 15.

Per the Town of Litchfield Ordinance:

It Shall be unlawful for an operator of a motor vehicle or other vehicle to park said vehicle on a public way in said Litchfield between the hours of 11:00 pm and 7:00 am from November 15 through April 15 of each year or any other time during a snow storm or snow removal operation. Vehicles in violation will be towed away at owners’ expense. Penalty for the violation of such regulations shall be One Hundred Dollars.
